Function description
For our client, a horticultural company in Lochristi, we are looking for an enthusiastic order picker.

Your tasks:
You will work in the logistics department, mainly in the consolidation and loading area.
You will do the order picking of the plants.
Checking and packing the finished carts with plastic film.
Taking packed carts to the correct loading zone and placing them in proper order for the drivers (heavier work)
At the end of each working day, you will clean up the logistics hall with your colleagues.
When necessary you also help out in other departments.
In the peak period you help supervise the new temporary employees.
As an additional (important) task you are the perfect back-up in the absence of the chain operator, after thorough internal training.

You enjoy working independently. You are a motivated and attentive worker who wants to work flawlessly. You like doing physical work (standing upright + dragging heavy carts). You are willing to learn other tasks so that you can easily jump into other departments. A good basic knowledge of plants is an advantage but not necessary if you are willing to learn this. You are an early bird. During the busy period (spring) you will start before 8 am and work until after 5 pm. The other time of the year you take the performed extra-hours and enjoy a day more at home. You speak good Dutch or English. |
